No. Task Helper window cleaners bring their own equipment and streak-free cleaning solutions, including squeegees, extension poles, and microfibre cloths. Just make sure interior windows are accessible and any furniture in the way has been moved beforehand.
How much does window cleaning cost in New Zealand?
Most NZ window cleaners charge either by the hour, usually somewhere around $50 to $90, or per window, which makes the final figure hard to predict before someone has seen the house. Yes. You can book interior only, exterior only, or both in a single visit. Select the option that suits when you book.
Can helpers clean windows on upper floors?
Exterior windows are cleaned from ground level and safely reachable heights, using extension poles where needed. For multi-storey properties, or windows that can only be reached with ladders, scaffolding, or specialist access equipment, add a note when you book so your helper can confirm what is possible before accepting the job.
How often should windows be cleaned?
For most New Zealand homes, twice a year is the usual rhythm, typically once heading into summer and once after winter. Coastal properties need it more often because salt spray builds up on the glass, and homes on unsealed roads or near building work do too. Rentals are usually done at changeover and before inspections regardless of the calendar.
Can I book window cleaning as part of an end-of-tenancy clean?
Yes. You can book window cleaning as a standalone service or alongside an end-of-tenancy clean. If you have already booked a bond clean through Task Helper, book a separate window cleaning job for the same day and note the timing in the job description.
What if the windows aren’t streak-free when the helper leaves?
Task Helper holds your payment in escrow until you confirm the job is complete. If you’re not satisfied, raise it in the app within 24 hours. Do not confirm completion if you are not happy with the result.
